I haven’t written a poem in a long time. Last night I found my book of poetry that I had been jotting in for the last 3 years. Here is one I will share.
Deep Inside
Deep inside my soul,
There is a little place that won’t let go
The dreams of yesterday
The hope of youth
The love that never was
And the one that got away
But I let all that stay
Deep inside my soul
Just because
It has nowhere else to go.
